At The Bare Bones Bakery, I take pride in creating a quality treat. I research to ensure that I am using products that have benefits to our dogs health. I do not make anything that I would not feed my own dogs.
Now admittedly, I have Labs and they generally will eat anything. But if I won't give it to my own dogs, I won't make it for yours
At The Bare Bones Bakery we use limited, all natural ingredients. Every ingredient is researched in order to ensure that it is safe for your dog as well as having health benefits. But we also know that as in most things, too much of anything can be too much.
Organic Coconut oil: Used to "grease" the pans. coconut oil may be helpful in aiding canine digestion, improving brain activity and mental function, and assisting with weight loss
Pumpkin: 100% pumpkin used in brownies, gummies, and frozen treats. Pumpkin is a superfood for dogs. It contains essential micronutrients and fiber that make it a very nutritious treat. Besides being a natural stomach soother, pumpkin also helps to remove excess water in a dog's digestive tract.
Apple: Used in Brownies and gummies, made with unsweetened Applesauce
Peanut Butter: Used in brownies, use only peanut butter made with 100% peanuts
Cinnamon: Used in Apple/Cinnamon treats, Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties
Chickpea Flour: Used in grain free brownies. Chickpeas (or garbanzo beans)add a healthy boost of protein and fiber to your dog's diet, plus they're easy to digest and low on the allergy scale for dogs.
Eggs: I use eggs from chickens raised locally, not purchased from a store.
WHY GUMMIES? I get asked that often.
Many eons ago, I had a dysplastic dog. My vet recommended Knox gelatin.
Gelatin is an AMAZING supplement:
→It contains collagen which is one of the most abundant proteins in your dogs body
→Great for bone and joint health
→Bones, skin, fur, and nails contain collagen. Increasing gelatin protein results in stronger bones, healthier skin, and a shinier coat soothes the digestive system which helps improve absorption of nutrients
→Did you know that a single tablespoon of gelatin has 6.4 grams of protein and no fat?
